Daily 16 #3 - 19 June 2019

Here is the first verse for my new song "All of Me." I've been working on it since last night, and I'll probably record this verse and the chorus tonight. If I have time before my laptop runs out of juice, I'll write verse 2 and record it. If everything goes right, I'll edit the song tomorrow, and I'll put it on Soundcloud and YouTube.

Do you wake up in the morning with mad shit on your brain?/

Sip a cup of coffee slow, and feel better when it rains?/

Like, "Damn!" What happened to the friendships that were lost?/

Old friends turn to new enemies, and the thoughts/

won't go away. I don't mean to dwell on yesterday./

But I feel like yesterday matters and it makes us who we are today./

I'm just a helpless nostalgic. An alcoholic who drinks enough to make the world clean./

Let be the great finale, and everything aint what it seems./

But I remained me when everyone was changing./

Everybody told me that's a part of growing up./

Don't trust no man, but my father and the son./

I spent five long years with my face inside a book./

I haven't wrote a master thesis, but I gained a thousand looks./

It's all about perspective like a quatrocentro painter,/

And I still wonder why these books are filled with tears./
